"En este álbum me propuse explorar mi tendencia natural al ritmo.
A diferencia de los anteriores, en éste programé poco y nada con Drum Rack. Toqué módulos de batería, TR-505, DD305 y MC 303, y muchos teclados, Casio SA 10, SA 20 y 21, Yamaha PSR 28, Portatone PSR 6 y otros. Algunas melodías las tenía en la cabeza hace años.
Musicalmente quise rescatar las emociones que habitaban lo que escuchaba con David, que era mi pareja y mejor amigo.
Cada canción es una anécdota y un recuerdo.
El partió muy precipitadamente, de cáncer a los 23 años, y mi psiquis se laceró de tal forma que tuve que aprender a hacer casi todo de nuevo. Los primeros meses era como una recién nacida, luego de a poco volví a tocar, a relacionarme con gente.
Me pregunté ¿cómo suena esta experiencia, el recuperarse de un dolor así? ¿Qué atmósferas habitan ese proceso de renacer, más sabia, más fuerte que antes?
Es un disco melancólico pero también autocontenido y plácido.
Es música que quiere transmitir una relación casi de camaradería con la propia muerte, lo cual implica vivir con amor y sin miedo.
Éramos fans de la música andina y las arpas en estéreo del Paraguay, así de alguna forma terminamos amando los discos de japoneses, YMO, Mariah, Jun Togawa, Picky Picnic, Hiroshi Yoshimura y otros y también los sonidos tradicionales del koto y el shamizen. Así fue todo mezclándose entre sueños y como ejercicio para sostenerme y despedirme, es que nació In Tu."
